Welcome to Lagandorain Cottage

Lagandorain cottage, on the beautiful Isle of Iona, sleeps 4 comfortably and is available to rent on a weekly basis throughout the year.

Tucked into the rocky outcrops at the north end of the island, the cottage has spectacular views to Staffa, Rhum and beyond. It features a living room with a picture window looking out north to the distant Black Cuillins of Skye.

Iona is an enchanted and historic island and Lagandorain cottage is the ideal base from which to explore its spectacular geology, beautiful shoreline, and the island’s abundance of rare flora and fauna.

The cottage is situated on a working croft encompassing the former Iona Hostel now The Green Shed at the North end of the island. The space extends from Dun I (the highest point on Iona) across the flower meadows to the pristine white sands below. The land has been worked for generations creating the familiar Hebridean patchwork of crags, wildflower meadow, crops and machair and is home to a breath taking variety of plants and birds.
